Responding to Conflict Without Freaking Out PD

Conflict occurs in all areas of life – personal and professional, private and public – and the Christian church is no exception. When conflict is ignored or handled poorly, it can spread like a cancer creating deep seated rifts, rupturing relationships and potentially escalating to a full-scale crisis. Yet conflict need not always be negative. At this facilitation you will learn how to:

– Assess conflict dynamics to figure out the source,
type and stage of conflict
– Identify the conflict style of the various actors
(including your own)
– Consider how the culture of your organisation or
church may escalate, suppress or deescalate conflict
– Determine which intervention is most likely to bring
about a positive outcome.
